First there were baby monitors. Now, video monitors and movement / breathing indicators take monitoring your baby to the next level. However, they still don’t tell you what the baby wants.
A better baby monitor would give the baby a way to tell you what s/he wants. OK, maybe it’s not for babies, but toddlers sure could learn how to push the right button you install on the side of their crib that lets you know if their hungry, wet, or dropped something out of the crib.
Instead of just watching let’s make the baby monitor an interactive experience between you and baby/toddler.
