Tons of new yogurt stores are opening up where you bring your container to the register and you pay one flat fee per ounce. You could have 17 different flavors, 22 different toppings and you still pay the same fee per ounce. Makes it incredibly efficient at the checkout process.
How could we do that at a big box retailer or grocery store? Can’t they just weigh my shopping cart at the end and charge me without having to take everything out?
I wonder what that would do to help manufacturer’s reduce waste in their products.
