The theory of the collapse and expansion of industries has been around for a while. Before Henry Ford’s assembly line there were hundreds of car companies in the US. After the assembly line there was less than a handful. Today, there are again hundreds, if not thousands, of car companies in the US that are redefining what it means to build cars thanks to cheaper technology and crowdsourcing.
