Trusting Your Money to Software

Who would you trust most to manage your money – your financial advisor or software?  Recently I’ve been intrigued by some of the info. coming out of Wealthfront and finally took a minute to read into it and play around a little more.

I have to admit, the more I think about it the more I seem to like the idea of software managing my money.

While the current system seems to weigh more heavily on past performance and certain lagging indicators it’s only a matter of time till that’s absolutely perfected and things like predictive or leading indicators and real time sentiment analysis are incorporated to make the system even stronger.  We already know algorithms are taking over the world so why not trust them with even more of our money.

Seems like something interesting to check out and best of all, I’ll feel a lot better just deleting email from a software system vs. not answering my financial advisor’s calls.

Who else is offering you advice on some topic that could be taken over and automated with software?  If you don’t jump on it somebody else will, or worst of all you’ll just keep getting less quality advice.
